Please make sure to follow the the established order of the colors. It may seem a bit confusing, but you'll catch on! Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet. Yes , we know the photos end up in the opposite direction of the acronym.

About ROYGBIV

Anyone can post a picture and there is not limit on the amount as long as they follow the rules

1. They must follow the correct color pattern
2. You can't post 2 pictures in a row. Someone else must add a photo before you can add a new picture.
3. Only 1 flower photo on the main page. This means only 1 flower photo per 6 photos. If when you look at the main page and see 6 photos, if one is a flower you can't post a flower photo.


ROYGBIV or Roy G Biv is a mnemonic for Red Orange Yellow Green Blue Indigo Violet. Which brings me back to elementary school and learning the colors of the rainbow. Which brings me to the point of this group which is to create a rainbow using photos. Please post photos in the order of ROYGBIV, so if the last photo in the stream is red post an orange photo. The majority/focus of the photo most be the appropriate color or it will be deleted.
the stream should show pictures in this order
...Violet Indigo Blue Green Yellow Orange Red Violet Indigo Blue Green Yellow Orange Red Violet Indigo Blue Green....

Some interesting facts about roygbiv:
The colors are arranged by decreasing wavelength
Indigo being included is attributed to Issac Newton

The difference between Indigo and Violet. Though many of you might argue this point. IMO indigo is more of a blueish purple while violet is more of a pink/lavender purple. However I will leave this to your discretion when posting unless I just completely disagree.
