About Queensland Floods 2011 - Rosalie and Milton

Rosalie, the suburb I call my home, has been swallowed by the Brisbane river in just under three days.

I am lucky enough to still have my house, though the flood made its way up my backyard.

I wanted to create this group to show a different point of view of the floods. Instead of watching footage on the news, I'd like to see people's own experiences. The things people have managed to capture beneath the devastation and loss - maybe some sort of hope and resolve. Please contribute if you'd like, as I'd love to connect with others in the area. Maybe we'll get to see a more creative and human perspective.

Of course, although devastated, we were lucky not to get hit by flash floods as some did. Our thoughts are with those who went through such terrifying experiences, and we hope you and your loved ones are safe.

I have no power, so I can't post many photos. I will be updating as much as I can from my phone/friends computers.
