About ♫ Rock Your Socks Off! - It's The Friday Rock Group ♫
Creating this group was literally a spur of the moment decision.
I posted a photo in my stream on June 12th 2009 with Pink Floyds "Another Brick In The Wall Part 2" attached. Then I saw that one of my friends, Lorraine F, had posted Run DMC's "Walk This Way"........
Lorraine's description underneath her excellent photo reads ......."continuing on the Friday night rock theme"........well, once I read that I had to create a new group.
You see, during the 1980's I used to listen to a legendary disc jockey called Tommy Vance. It was through Tommy that I got to hear some rockin' good music on the UK's Radio 1 station. His programme was called The Friday Rock Show.
Lets share some great rock music and have some fun. I say Friday, for the reason above but you can of course take part on any other day of the week. With Friday usually being the day that many people finish work and start the weekend this would be a good time to wind down or chill out after perhaps a stressful week. I hope this group, in some small way, helps create the right moment for you.
So extra special thanks to Lorraine for unwittingly setting off a spark of creativity in me.
I hope that you all make the most of the group, get to hear some great music and see a variety of glorious photos.
