About R. Mutt Sticker
The R. Mutt Sticker from Thwart Design pays tribute to Marcel Duchamp, who challenged people to ask themselves "What is art?"

Inspired by Marcel Duchamp, the artist who destroyed the conventional notion of art with his 1917 Fountain, a factory-produced urinal that was signed with “R. Mutt 1917,” Rob Price, creative director of Thwart Design, has produced the R. Mutt Sticker. It replicates the “R. Mutt 1917” signature that Mr. Duchamp put on the original Fountain. The sticker raises the question, as “Fountain” did, “what defines art?”
The R. Mutt Sticker, which has already been spotted on urinals from New York to Paris, can be found on www.rmuttsticker.tumblr.com. Also available on the site are pictures of the sticker on urinals sent in by people who appreciate Fountain, as well as more information about the sticker.
