About River Nene

The river Nene is the 10th longest river in the UK and is navigable for 88 miles. It starts to the west of Northampton then passes through Wellingborough, Thrapston, Oundle, Peterborough, Whittlesey, Wisbech, Sutton Bridge then washes into the wash. The wash being an area of the North Sea on the Linconlshire/Norfolk border.

This is a long and diverse river running through a unique part of easteren England.

This is a place to show this river to its fullest. Photos can be of the river, but also of things alongside the river to build a picture of the countryside that it flows through.
