About Rituals No life is ordinary when beset with rituals all our own. Coffee in a garden patch, singing in the shower, refusing to relinquish a beat-up old pair of shoes, gathering up armfuls of sunflowers at the farmer's market on the weekend, picking fresh lavendar and tucking it under my pillow, writing novellas and sharing them with friends in coffeehouses in November, lighting a candle and playing Billie Holiday in the dark on a hot summer night.
