27 Mar 08 - Welcome to this group for photos of the Rhode Island State House only, which has become one of my favorite buildings to shoot. The magnificant building, built between 1895 and 1904 of white Georgia marble sits atop Smith Hill at the center of Providence, Rhode Island. It was designed by the famed architectural firm of McKim, Mead and White, and is perhaps their finest work. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1970 (#70000002).
