01 Oct 10 - NEWS FLASH!! The Grosbeaks are arriving in Northeast Georgia!!! I am so excited - - - three juvenile males this afternoon, arriving within hours of each other. Now, if their parents will just join them! I will be a happy camper. Anyone else seeing any?

Join us and add your photos to the pool. I have become quite fond of these beautiful visitors to my feeders, and look forward to their arrival. . It's REALLY neat to have them coming through in the fall with all their youngsters!!

About Rose-Breasted Grosbeaks

Rose Breasted Grosbeak - Male

For photos of these wonderful birds. They are stunning, both in winter and in summer, and their numbers are, sadly, declining especially in the Eastern US.

You are not limited in the number of photos you can post, and I'm not going to say anything if you post pictures that are similar. Anything YOU would like to see in the pool is something *I* would like to see in the pool.

The main rule I have in this group is the same as those in my other groups - - - no nudity (why would I have to say that in a bird group? You'd be surprised!) No dead or injured birds, no birds in the mouths of predators, no predators stalking the birds - - - NOTHING that would disturb a small child looking at our group pool.

That's it - - - I'm laid back and low key and I don't like rules much. I just want to honor these beautiful birds!

Have fun and please say "hello" when you arrive :)
