About Tips for Recycling and Reusing
Share your tips for re-using stuff and producing less garbage.
Have you ever been at a landfill? Have you seen one? Did you enjoy it? Humanity is producing astonishing amounts of garbage.
Recycling is great - please take advantage of every opportunity you have to recycle stuff, as opposed to throwing it to the garbage.
How about re-using? This requires some inventiveness. Have you figured out a neat way of re-using things that otherwise would have gone to the landfill? This group is intended to help share such ideas.
The ideal posting will have its own thread tagged [tip], will name what is being reused and how (in the title), will give a clear description of the method, and will show a photo exemplifying it. If you don't have a photo to show - fine! The more tips shared, the better. Photos without descriptions are usually not very useful, and will not be accepted to the group unless the tip is really obvious.
Since this is meant to be a very utilitarian group, the photos needn't be artistic - clarity is the sole requirement. Discussion of the tips is also welcome.
Please join also the Environment group for information on wider issues of conservation, protection and restoration of the natural environment.
Other groups of interest: The ReUse Project, Re*, CleanMyCity and TrashionNation.
