About Real Comments. A group that actually comments (really comments)
Here's the tag for the group you can use when you comment on someones picture in the pool:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/groups/realcomments/">realcomments</a>
Hello, I've never made a group on flickr before and am very excited to give this a try. I'm a member of several groups and have grown tired of the lack of thought involved in some people's comments. I often read comments posted by others that consist of one or two words like "nice". I'd like to try and form a group that is really interested in giving and receiving helpful, polite comments and advice. Please read the rules and feel free to join if this is the group for you. If you are unable to take the time to follow the rules then please do not join.
Rules:
1) Please post a max of 5 pictures per day.
2) Whether you post 1 picture or all 5 pictures you must comment on at least 3 pictures on the first page. You may choose the pictures just as long as they're on the first page. After your 3 comments feel free to comment on any other pictures you'd like.
3) You must put thought into your comments. No one worded comments . No "nice job", "wow", "thumbs up", "neat", "interesting" comments. Please actually try to leave a comment that will help the person who took the picture. If you are unable to do this, don't join.
4) RESPECT. Please please please, no thoughtless comments. These kind of comments: "Your picture sucks", "thats not my style" help no one. Please offer helpful advice "the shadow on the bottom right side of this picture throws off the balance, try a different crop". If you love the picture, tell them and tell them why. If you are unable to do this, don't join.
5) No porn
6) Please have lots of patience with me as I'm sure this will take some time for me to get the hang of. I'll do my best. Pass along any advice you have as I'm sure I'll need it. If you have any problems or questions let me know.
