About Robins Around the World

This group will focus on quality photos of this favorite bird of people everywhere. I am an American, so my photos will be of American Robins. I hope folks from other countries who have Robins will post photos of their beautiful Robins as well.

For an AMAZING story of love and concern for a small creature, click on this gorgeous photo of a baby bird - taken by one of our members in Toronto, Canada - you won't be sorry!!! Be sure to read all the comments . . . amazing story!! The second photo is a great closeup of the little thing eating a doggie kibble!! Equally amazing!!!





American Robins are hard to photograph well because they're always hopping about, but it's a real joy for ME to occasionally find one who isn't camera-shy, as I did yesterday (April 7 2008).

There are other "Robin" groups on Flickr, and I don't bring anything really unique to hosting a group, but I hope you will join us and have some fun with a group that is light-hearted and easy-going - - - not a lot of rules, but there are a couple:

(1) no dead or injured birds - period

(2) no photoshopping or other special effects - exceptions to this rule are limited to "slight" focal and exposure adjustments and framing if you really enjoy framing your work.

(3) Nothing of any sort that is not completely "family-friendly" and safe for the smallest of children to view - - - no exceptions

I think that's it for now . . .

I will be adding "invitation" and "comment" codes as soon as I possibly can, and we might have a fun "contest" or two from time to time.
