About Rate My Plate

**** Please be encouraging, if you don't like a plate, don't attack it. Please be friendly :)

Subject matter must have a plate as the main feature. Ratings are generally for the plate itself, rather than the (eg) technical or compositional factors.

The founders of the International Platographic Society though deep into the night as to the allowance of food on plate. Well - in summary, shots are allowed (for the time being) but as a warning, this detracts from the overall platyness and therefore ratings may be marked down.

This group is for rating pictures that you have taken. The rules are as follows:

1. Post your picture. Only 1 upload per day per member is permitted.
2. IMMEDIATLY rate the preceding 5 plates (the 5 posted before you posted) on a scale of 1-5. Please wait until five more people post before you add another to the pool. Comments are not required for a rating of 5, but it's still quite useful to those being rated. Those who do not rate properly will be banned!
3. Please do not give comments that are unnecessary and unhelpful. Simply stating "I don't like your plate" or "This doesn't do it for me" helps no one.
4. If you rate a photo under 5, you need to explain your reasons. That is what helps people grow as photographers.
5. Please be aware that most people are amateur photographers. If we were professionals, we'd be out making the cash, right?

Members leaving overly negative feedback, being rude to fellow members and/or the admins will get you removed from this group!! If you feel a particular post deserves a lower rating, there ARE tactful ways to go about it. Bashing won't be tolerated.
