About El Rastro de Madrid

El Rastro es un mercado al aire libre que se organiza en el centro histórico Madrid los domingos y festivos. Una curiosidad: debe su nombre a que hace muchos años se ubicaban varias curtidurías en torno a la calle Ribera de Curtidores. Al transportar las reses ya muertas desde el matadero, cerca del río Manzanares, éstas dejaban un rastro de sangre.
