About Ramsgate Model Village

This group is dedicated to the Ramsgate Model Village. Which opened in 1953 but sadly closed fifty years later in 2003 due to lack of visitors and vandalism.

Some of the models and figures are now at the Bekonscot Model Village in Buckinghamshire, Salmestone Grange in Margate and at the Merrivale Model Village at Great Yarmouth. Any photos of the Ramsgate models form these locations are also very welcome in this group.

The following is a video clip from the Great Yarmouth Model Village but features some of the models which used to be at Ramsgate. The one I remember best, is the Hospital with the man having his leg cut off.
