About Ramsgate
Ramsgate is a seaside town on the Isle of Thanet in East Kent, England. I was once the great English seaside towns of the 19th Century and is a member of the ancient confederation of Cinque Ports.
Ramsgate's Main attraction is its coastline and its main industries are tourism and fishing. The town has one of the largest marinas on the English south coast and the Port of Ramsgate has provided cross channel ferries for many years.
With a population of about 40,000 and 78 miles from Central London, Ramsgate is home to many activities and events as well as being covered in history. Some of these are The Powerboat Grand Prix, Summer Carnival, 3 sand covered beaches, with many and much more.
The main town of Ramsgate is also made up of smaller villages. This includes Manston (Of which is also home to Kent International Airport), Cliffsend, Minster and Monkton.
