About Rail UK : Railways of North West England

This group is for any pictures of the railways in Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire and the High Peak district of Derbyshire (Glossop, Hadfield and Buxton to you and me).

Please send in recent pics, old pics, trains, locos, units, stations, in fact anything to do with railways in the North West.

I would love to have pictures of those places that are not normally featured as well as those regulars like Crewe and Manchester. As many different locations as possible, please.

This group now contains some of the best pictures on Flickr. The variety is fantastic and many less photographed places feature. Thank you to everyone for the brilliant contributions.

I have allowed some pics from slightly further afield (North Staffs, W Yorks) but please try and stay within the above counties.

All are welcome!!
