About ...And The Pursuit
Living and riding through various East Coast cities, I was a bit reluctant to move to Washington, DC - a city better known to outsiders as being saturated in politics more so than culture.
But when I got here, I was surprised to find all these unique characters with different backgrounds, lifestyles, and careers, brought together by the simple love of bicycles.
So I came up with the idea to do this book, because I wanted to document these individuals and their personalities in a way that I could share it with people who dont get to ride the District's streets and experience it as it continues to grow and evolve.
The photos kept in this group are not going to be the photos that ultimately make it to the book, but the people are the same. Those you see here are the same unlikely individuals you'll find trying to keep the rubber side down through the districts' streets, parks, and trails every day. These are the people who make up Washington's cycling culture.
