About Pure and Honest Photography

This is a group for people who love to take photographs, Pure and Honest Photography, be that film or digital. Flexing those developing skills in their own home or taking it along to a lab to eagerly await the results. For those who like the quirkiness of Lomography and any other forms of hands-on Photography that is rough around the edges but a technical masterpiece. Pictures so good that they can be mistaken for artificially manipulated creations by well known software applications.

I've created this group because I often have comments left on my pictures saying things like "I'm not sure how you did that in photoshop" or "how did you get that effect in photoshop".

If you're a creative type and want to share your skills and show your amazing results from using real film, black and white film, Polaroid, Lomography, crazy colour photography, grain intense pictures, Holga, Diana, the list could go on, and all this without the aid of Photoshop or other manipulating software, then this is the group for you.

You can still submit digital work as long as the finished result came from your eye through the lens, a click of the capture button and what the camera saw - simple.

It's still ok to submit your photos if you have used software to aid colour correction but heavy manipulation of your pictures is a big no, no for this group. Same goes for those clever iPhone apps - access denied : )
