About Purcell Mountain Range
A group created to display some of the splendour of the Purcell Mountain Range of British Columbia, Canada. The Purcells (part of the greater Columbia Mountain Range) are a dramatic, rugged, and glaciated range of mountains and are simply amazing to explore. They are located west of the Rocky Mountain Range and east of the Selkirk Range. For the time being, they have been left relatively untouched, but are under numerous threats of development - the most known of these threats is the proposed Jumbo Resort which has been attempted to be forced against the people's will for over 20 years now.
Feel free to attach pictures you have of this amazing area. Pictures must have some element showing the Purcell Mountains in them. Any pictures of a subject so closely cropped that you can't see the location will be deleted. If it is a lesser known area of the Purcells, please attach a little description of where the picture is taken. I will edit the content of the album to keep all pictures relevant.
