About Pulp Magazine Covers
Covers of classic lurid pulp magazines; Science Fiction, Fantasy, Love, Mystery, Detective, Horror. Strictly story-based magazines, but no westerns or sports; also particularly not paperback books, hardcovers, character series, or comics. Lurid is good. Outrageous SF themes are good. Dames in Peril are good.
"What's a pulp magazine?" You may be asking yourself...
For SF pulps:
o It has its own title, such as "Astounding" or "Horror Stories."
o It either has a month on it, or a number, or both.
o It contains more than one story or article, none of which are the title of the magazine.
o It contains (probably lots of) advertising.
o the cover displays only one artwork (but headlines multiple stories.)
o The cover is the work of an artist, not a photographer.
o It is not a paperback novel, one of a series of novels, or an anthology - it's a magazine.
...and remember -- no westerns, or sports magazines, please.
For pinup pulps, multiple story headlines are not required.
