Mainstream media and big labels have their way -MONEY- to promote the bands and therefore the music they want to the world, music has lost its meaning due the fact of selling a particular set of patterns and models to follow for the public, to the public.That world where you could only enjoy music programmed by a major corporation/label has changed, general radio and TV channels are not anymore the only way to listen to music.
Over the past 10 years Internet and social networking have changed the rules of selling, promoting and distributing music to the public, now, the public has the power to choose,they just need a personal computer and basic knowledge about browsing the Internet. Artists and people linked to Psytrance/Goa Trance/Progressive scene are using it and they are getting better and better thanks to the exchange of knowledge, experiences and friendship.
Back to the point, the scope of this group is to help to promote, and grow public awareness about psytrance music, psytrance scene and psytrance in general. PTConnection are a collective based on Dublin, Ireland although we are from different european countries. We want to see the big picture, looking forward to meet more people with Psytrance on their blood, here in Ireland or abroad, we want to meet people who like to listen to music until dawn feeling free to dance, while enjoying a mixed feeling between introspection and social relations. Feeling Happy.
