About Trichrome photography by Sergei Mikhailovich Prokudin-Gorskii
This group is dedicated to restorations by Flickr members of the trichrome separations created by Russian phtographer Sergei Mikhailovich Prokudin-Gorskii during the period of 1907-1915 and available for free download at the U.S. Library of Congress.
If you would like to try your hand at restoring these images,scans of the orginal RGB plates can be browsed, searched, and downloaded at this site (loc.gov). Restorers of all skill-levels are welcome to post their efforts in this group.
