About SPFR - Projects - Street Photography - France

Join Project #2 and discover SEPTEMBER theme:

This group's objective is to gather a community of photographers of France streets that can brainstorm, debate, meet, but also organise exhibitions and ideally talks and festivals all about Street Photography. From there, hopefully, some talented photographers will also emerge and create something similar to www.in-public.com/ that would show the way and help Street Photography become a more mature genre in France, as mature as it is in England or the USA.

Forget the lack of motivation due to the laws about the right to image. You are allowed to take photos on the street. This is actually your responsibility as a photographer to capture your streets of your time here, as an historian of the real.

Street Photography was born in France, with Doisneau and Cartier-Bresson.
Let's wake up again, and pay hommage to them by practicing their art.
