About Project Gainesville

The goal of Project Gainesville is to document the demise of the city's heritage streets and buildings. The hidden gems of "Old Gainesville" are buried behind overgrown plants, abandanded buildings, and decay. Hopefully once all the pictures have been cataloged and detailed we can publish a book of our findings and share the history of Gainesville. Please provide an address or approximation of where in Gainesville your photo was taken. It would help if you would also geo-tag your photo as well. This is an ongoing work in progress so please feel free to add comments and add pictures. If you know the history of any of the pictures or streets - please comment. I would appreicate any feedback and history on any of the photographs I have added. If you know of an area of interest that should be included or would like to see documented, please email me!
