Hi All

jodi*mckee has asked me to come up with this week's challenge.

I guess I'm yearning for a bit of warm weather, so my theme for this week is:

Heat

This could mean anything including lovely hot colours, fire or flames, a day at the beach or even a heated discussion. Make of it what you will!

Please, tag your photos with: weekfourteenheat

To post your contribution to this thread, simply do the following:
- Bring the picture up on your browser (click on the picture itself).
- Along the top there will be an 'all sizes' choice, click on that and then you'll be given an assortment of sizes. Select 'small'.
- At the bottom of the page, you will see some HTML, which you can cut and paste into a reply to this discussion thread.

Remember that previous weeks' challenges are still open as well, and you can still contribute to those!

Challenges so far: Week 13: jodi*mckee, Yellow; Week 12: auntsmack4u, ritual(s); Week 11: moonw|re, precious; Week 10: tamra hays, transactions; Week 9: Jules, Perspective; Week 8: Nils Geylen, Drama; Week 7: Elizabeth, Stripes; Week 6: Mark Allanson, Love; Week 5: Quadzilla, Connected; Week 4: Digital Ramble, Transportation; Week 3: Ought to be a blonde, Hallways; Week 2: Nicola, Breakfast; Week 1: Kimberly, Shoes.

Well - these empanadas were hot enough to burn my tongue on (it still hurts).
Easter Empanadas

When I first moved into this space and we moved all the junk out, I found this candle. This is a visual representation of how hot it gets up here without air conditioning. I think that's double-points for me for two heat analogies in one photo.

Scratch that--triple points. That's my space heater in the background. It gets as extremely cold in here as it does extremely hot.

As a tradition there are big easter fires all over Germany during the easter holidays. We went to see the one in Dinslaken.

It was really hot there.

Typical! On the 31 March I posted this, and on 2 April, the challenge is announced as "Yellow". Next, I post this and this on 7 April and on 8 April the challenge is announced as "Heat". Scunner!

I'm getting closer. Perhaps next week I'll post an appropriate picture on the day the challenge is announced and then get it in the right order the week after that. :-)

Unless there's a loophole. If it is OK to post a response after the challenge week is over...

Hey David... It does say in the instructions that you can post to previous weeks. I see new responses to challenges weeks after they are over. (I even saw someone post to week one recently).

One of the best things about this group is how flexible it is! Post away!

As for my entries for the challenge, I'm going to try to get as many sources of "Heat" as possible this week. Wish me luck!

Here are the first two:

Cheers for the heads up amaedel :

Thought I'd better not fail dismally at my own challenge. My first post was a bit of a stretch, so I decided to do another, hopefully more apt, one.
