What is a prime number? Any positive integer, other than 1, that is only divisible by 1 and itself. For instance 11 is a prime number, as the only numbers that can be divided into it without remainder are 1 and 11. But 12 is not a prime number, as it can be divided into by 1 (1*12), 2 (2*6), 3 (3*4), etc.
