About Toronto Pride And Remembrance Run

Promoting And Fostering Community Spirit And Sportsmanship Since 1996.

The Pride And Remembrance Run is a 5km fundraising run/walk organized and operated by the philanthropic and athletic-oriented Pride And Remembrance Association, a leading not for profit volunteer-run organization established in 1996 dedicated to supporting Toronto's lesbian and gay community.

The Pride And Remembrance Run is the only annual athletic event during Toronto's Pride Week, promoting and fostering community spirit, goodwill, volunteerism and sportsmanship in the Canadian lesbian and gay community. The Pride And Remembrance Association is a separate community organization from Pride Toronto. The Pride And Remembrance Run is not operated by Pride Toronto.

This premier athletic event and community fundraiser is the largest event of its kind in Canada, and among the most popular running events of the entire Greater Toronto Area.

Each year the Pride and Remembrance Association selects community charities who receive 100% of the charitable pledges that are raised. Participants raise much needed funds for community charitable organizations through personal pledges.

The 2007 Run has raised over $100,000.00 for the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation (http://www.pwatoronto.org/) and the Triangle Program (http://schools.tdsb.on.ca/triangle/).
