13 May 08 - Welcome to the 20th-Century Prefab Homes Pool! This group is for prefabricated, mass-produced houses from any nation, focused on the 1920s to the 1970s. We're looking for photos of prototypes that never made it into production (like Eichler's X-100 or Prouve's Maison Tropicale) and those that did, like the U.K.'s Airoh and other prefabs, or the U.S.'s Lustron, Homasote, Harmon, General, American, Techbuilt and National Homes. Vintage ads are great too.

About 20th-Century Prefab Homes

From the futuristically-named Lustron, Dymaxion, Aluminaire, Airoh and Futuro to the lesser known, conventionally-styled prefabs like Gunnison Homes, Harman Homes, and National Houses, prefab homes of the twentieth century left their mark on suburbs and housing developments all over the world.
