About Post-War Houses in the UK (1945-1980)

This is a group for twentieth century post-war houses in the UK, from the mid-40s up to the end of the 70s.

We're looking for exterior shots of interesting and individual style houses; think Daily Mail Book of House Plans. For example, the work of (or in the style of) architects such as Michael Manser, John Winter, Edward Cullinan, Peter Womersley would be appropriate - but less well-known architects are particularly welcome, as many of them are now retired and I am afraid their achievements will be all but forgotten.

It would be great to see groups of houses, too – such as The Ryde at Hatfield, Tor Bryan at Ingatestone – The Mount at Dinas Powys.

If the house in your picture is architect-designed perhaps you could give the name in your tags, if known - as well as location.

Like the Modernist Houses group, this is specifically for houses rather than apartment blocks, colleges, museums etc...
