About PostProcess
PostProcess will be taking a nap for a while
- we hope that you will remain as members, and do check back in when you see that a new thread has been posted on your Groups Page in a month or so.
Your participation has been greatly appreciated, and we'll see you back in a while.
thanks for your patience,
Katherine and all of the admins.
================================================
This group is about your interpretation of someone else's photo in terms of post-processing. Someone posts a photo, you edit it, and repost it.
Rules
1. The winning member of the previous week's Weekly Spotlight will post a photo, large size, in a new discussion thread. This photo should exhibit minimal post-processing and be large enough to allow some editing.
2. Everyone takes the image, edits it in any way they see fit, and posts one to the discussion thread. Everything in the thread is fair game, including the original post and all editions of the post. Just be sure the original image is an easily recognizable inspiration within your rendition.
3. The original poster chooses his/her favorite of the editions about one week later.
4. The thread's winner adds the winning image to the pool.
5. Important: All images accessible on Flickr posted to a thread must contain a link to that thread either in the image's description or in its comments. You can take care of this by opening the thread, copying the address from your address bar, and then pasting that address into your image's description. If you skip this step, we will take it to mean that you do not agree to let others use your image, and your image will be removed.
Weekly Spotlight
Every week, a new editing thread is posted by the winner of the previous week's thread. Same rules as regular posts, except the winning edition from the weekly spotlight thread will be shown on this page.
Some warnings and ideas:
It should be painfully obvious by now that if you post something here as described, it can be copied and re-posted. Don't post work you consider important, or work for which you don't want someone else taking credit.
Post your experiments! Post things you don't know how to manipulate! Post the images you don't like! Just post something you want to see done differently. Edit posted images in any way you see fit: make it monochrome, color it, make it a collage, texture it, anything!
When you edit an image, please be willing to talk about what you did. This isn't a requirement, but I hope this group will allow us to learn from one another.
If you post an edition of an image, someone may use your image to make a new one. Feel free to delete your entry and post a new one, if you wish. Only one entry per thread at any time, though..
Open Edit
Anyone is welcome to open an Open Edit thread at anytime. There is not a weekly selection. The thread will just keep going and going until it gets buried. None of the photos are placed in the group pool.
Each edit of the Open Edit photograph can be a completely new version of the photo or an edit of the previous person's edit.
Your image's description must include a link to the appropriate Open Edit thread. Edited images must also include a link to the original. Any image found lacking these requirements will be removed from the thread.
The posted size should be medium, though a link to the original size is desirable.
