About Portraits On Film

Check out our group's most interesting photos according to Flickriver only. It's a beautiful set, especially with the black background. Just click on any part of the following image. The order of photos within changes as more images are added to our group.


This group is for outstanding portraits taken on film, both in B&W and color. It includes digitally post-processed photographs from film. Please post your best works.

All submitted pictures will go into a moderation queue, and not all pictures submitted may make it to the pool to maintain its quality.

This group has nothing against digital cameras, which we know have produced exceptional portraiture. This group is just a more specific exhibit for artists who have taken portraits on film, a small group to showcase the unique and exquisite charm of extraordinary portraits on film, in diverse styles.

Try to check out the photostreams of our wonderful artists here, there are many more superb art within them.

Also, try to check out some of the best images, by artist, under the discussion threads.

We will keep it simple, sorry, no fancy award icons for now.

2. Please do not start any threads, ask admin to do it. This helps in avoiding spam.

3. Admins reserve the right to reject inappropriate images like pornography, intense gore and other disturbing images.

4. Pool will also be reviewed from time to time and some photos may be removed to maintain a certain quality as per the subjective opinions of the administrators/curators.
