About Self-Portrait Reflections

Self-Portrait Reflections is a group that celebrates the art of self-portrayal and was inspired by the National Portrait Gallery’s latest exhibition, “Reflections/Refractions; Self-Portraiture in the Twentieth Century.” Issues of identity and self-portrayal were bent in new directions in the 20th century, as if refracted through a prism. As part of this exploration of identity, we invite you to submit your self-portraits so that we might share with our audience how self-portraiture continues to evolve at the outset of the 21st century.
