Group on the city of Porto Velho, capital of the state of Rondonia.

Porto Velho is the largest of the state capital of Brazil in length, and has based its creation in the construction of the railway legendary Madeira-Mamoré.
The symbol, or better, the symbols of the city, appearing on the crest and flag are the Three Cases d'Water. They came in kits in the United States and were assembled here to supply the homes of directors and workers of Madeira-Mamoré Railway Company.

Porto Velho located in the extreme northern state of Rondonia, making currency with the states of Amazonas and Acre, interioranos municipalities of the Rondonia, and also makes border with the Republic of Bolivia.

The city of Porto Velho in recent times has been growing continuously, but it was with the news of the construction of the Hydroelectric Madeira (Jirau and St. Anthony) who made the economy of the state to give a jump, mainly in the sector of construction. With the expectation of growth in Porto Velho, the Prefecture received resources of the Federal Government to structure the city, in view of the large number of people who migrate to Porto Velho, where the main investment is to sanitation. The prediction is that 100% of the city is sanitate.
