Port Credit is a former small town that has been amalgamated as part of the city of Mississauga, Ontario. The area has now been designated as Port Credit Village.
Port Credit is a lakeside port, where the Credit River flows into Lake Ontario. It is located a short distance from Toronto to the east and Oakville to the west.
This scenic village has a beautiful harbour area with reconstructed period lighthouse, salmon fishing contests, charter boats, yacht club, extensive bicycle paths, and lovely public parks. It also has an increasing number of pubs, restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream shops, and other retail establishments. It is easily accessible from Toronto via GO Train. Get off at Port Credit Station and the harbour is about a 10-minute walk.
