26 Sep 10 - We raised our two boys at Popham Beach every summer from the time they were born until they graduated from college. I have fond memories of long walks at low tide, swimming in the tidal pools when they were babies, building sand forts, body surfing when they were older, picnic lunches under the sun umbrellas, frizbee, football, and collecting shells and stones. It is sad to learn that so much of the beach has eroded away, so it is important for everyone to post their pictures here.

About Popham Beach, MaineThis group is dedicated to Popham Beach State Park in Phippsburg, Maine. We need to memorialize all the memories of raising our families at the beach. Sadly, due to erosion, the beach has changed considerably, so these photos are meant to keep the Popham we knew alive. |
