About Pontypridd, Wales

Pontypridd is a small town located about 10 miles north of the capitol city of Cardiff. It is located at the convergence of several valleys in South Wales and it boasts a bi-weekly market that attracts people from across a wide region.

One of Ponty's favorite sons is the famous pop music singer, Tom Jones. It also has important road and rail links to locations much farther north, and it once bustled with the economy of the South Wales coal mining industry.

This group is for photos that tell the story of Pontypridd: people, events, building, historic sites, homes, churches, mining, cultural artwork, and anything else you can think of.
