About Pomodoro

This group is inspired by the work of Italian Architect and sculptor Arnaldo Pomodoro.

I created this

originally as an exercise in humour when I came across one of Pomodoro's "Sfera con Sfera" ("Sphere in Sphere") sculptures in Flickr. I immediately recognised it as being similar to a work in Trinity College Dublin and went about seeing if there were more such Spheres on Flickr. As a result I found out a great deal about the artist and the locations of his "spheres". Much of this information is contained here.

It turns out there are a number of other Pomodoro shapes too. And I created this group so that Pomodoro sculptures from around the world can exist in a single place.

Please only post photos that contain a Pomodoro artwork. They may also contain other stuff; such as context showing where it is or yourself. If possible please indicate where the work is.

The Rotation Question
It appears some of the works are supposed to rotate (or may have rotated at one time). There have been no reports of any works that actually rotate at present. If you saw a Pomodoro sculpture rotating please indicate this in your photo. Also, let us know if it rotated under its own power or because it was pushed.
