About American Polonia History and Culture
Americans of Polish descent, Polish Americans, Poles living in America, Polish immigrants and their descendents--in short, American Polonia (the Polish diaspora in America).
Photos and scanned documents relating to our history, communities, organizations, institutions, businesses, religious and cultural life, families, genealogy, etc. Vintage photos are welcome.
Please don't post images of Poland here unless there is a clear and demonstrated connection to American Polonia. There are plenty of other groups focused on Poland itself.
We've got a long history in the United States, and a strong presence as an ethnic group, so here's an opportunity to show it. Also, let's try to encourage each other by commenting on each other's photos.
