Thanks for sharing, anniebee ! It's exciting news. I presume this is packfilm (since it's coming from the Mexico factory)?
(rhetorical question.... I presume we'll wait and see!)

they haven't shipped my last order yet...i wonder if they can hold it so i don't have to pay 2x shipping if there is something else i want.
and i'm not sure the main goal of polapremium is to appear on the option8 polaroid faq.

I will wait and see. There has been misinformation in the past. If there turns out to be something this time, great. If not, well that is cool too, I've pretty much adjusted to life without. If it turns out to be a limited run thing that just doesn't interest me much, but glad to see everyone else out there shooting. Let's see what tomorrow brings.

Just to clarify, by Thursday December 4th, I'm assuming that's midnight European time or...
Here in Australia, it's already Thursday December 4 and for those in New Zealand (Kia Ora to you all), they're already halfway through their December 4!

I know the PolaPremium folks are working to set a standard time (GMT) for all future releases but I don't have the exact time for this release - my guess is that it'll be later in the day tomorrow.
that prolly doesn't help much does it?

xpunklovex depends on where you are in relation to Austrian time. I'm in NYC so it's 4:00pm for me. Mind you, I have no control over opening the store - that's being done "over there" so don't bite my head off if the time is off slightly. That would make me really "blue".

Whats the difference between Choco and Sepia?
I havent held a choco print in my hand before, but I have actually sepia toned 8x10 darkroom prints...
from the examples, it seems the sepia is darker and more contrasty?
anyone else think the examples along the bottom of each film type are a bit low resolution?

the choco appears to just have a heavier sepia tone to it. the sepia looks like pretty good stuff.

O8 that seems about right.

choco has a texture to it that it looks like the sepia is missing. sepia looks to be a bit higher in contrast, as well, which would make sense with the ISO.

Can the Sepia or choco be used for transfers or emulsion lifts?

How am I supposed to use a 1500 iso film ? My EE66 only has 75 and 3000 iso settings...
Posted 42 months ago.

The sepia looks likely to be a derivative of 667 to me, just based on the ISO, so I think it's unlikely to be usable for transfers or emulsion lifts. That's just a guess on my part, though.

that will be interesting. i have a 180 and 195 that i can use it in. lots of people will get bad prints, i guess. won't know until we try.

Option8 - it looks like they are just blown up in the viewer. Right clicking the image will allow you to view them at the original size, which looks a lot nicer.

12cat I'm not sure, but I'll experiment with my sepia. I will say this, the "goop" for the blue film is gorgeous.
xpunk I'm gonna set my camera to 3000 and crank up the lightness (i think). I'll let you know what happens. If you look at the samples on the website people are getting great results so it works it's just a question of tweaking things a bit.

I might have jumped the gun - I just ordered 15 packs of the Sepia. 667 is black & white, correct? I know the b & w polaroid didn't work for transfers, but I think some of them would work for lifts. Guess I'll find out with the Sepia!
BTW, didn't Polaroid make Sepia film that was used alot by souvenir photographers at amusement parks (pre digital days)?

Option 8 - Yes, Choco80 is pretty darned low contrast unless you use in BRIGHT LIGHT. It's this low contrast that gives it such a dreamy quality. The sepia, which I haven't shot (I haven't shot any of the new stuff yet, in case anyone thinks we've been given a horde of advance product...tho' I WISH we had!) is higher contrast....and I can't wait to shoot it.
I'm NOT going to say "I told you so" about new product lines. No, I will not.

One question - do they have many packs of this film? I don't have money right now and don't want to rush into buying if there are enough packs to last at least a few weeks.

i've found that the 80 chocolate works really well when you turn the darken knob all the way to dark (in daylight). before i did that. most of my shots were muddy (no pun intended...maybe).
