About Point & Shootout!
This pool is NOT intended as a dumping ground for your average daily snapshots, and therefore may bot be suited for the beginner shooter. This pool was created to help showcase non-DSLR users with higher-quality creative images (more than just your daily snapshot). Please read on...
Tired of the boys with the big DSLRs always getting in the way? Do YOU have a pocket-sized picture taking machine that dares to challenge the quality of those big fancy DSLRs? If you answered YES to the above, then this group is for you!
***ADVANCED P&S cams are MORE than welcome (e.g. Canon S1 – S3's, Canon G Series, and Sony/Panasonic equivalents, etc!***
Come show off YOUR BEST pics shot with a digital "point & shoot" camera. YOUR BEST pics should be creative, well-exposed, crisp, clear, nicely composed/cropped images of any subject. Tweaking allowed (Photoshop, etc) but don't go crazy.
Images that do not meet the above criteria will be deleted without notice. Continuous disregard for any of the above will result in being kicked from the group. Sorry.
If you have a special technique that you've used to create a beautiful, high quality image – please share with others as we would all like to learn. Be nice to each other and leave some constructive feedback too if you can. Let us together make this a fun and inspiring community.
Simple Rulez:
1) Photos must have a real name/title
2) Photos preferably no less than 1024 pixels on the longest side
3) Photos must have EXIF info to show cam being used (except for HDRs). If EXIF is not available then please TAG your pictures with your camera!
4) NO film shots, no toy cams.... digital only, please
5) .. and most important: NO "quick snapshots of some random whatever it may be" unless it was a lucky shot that makes us say "WOW!" Those types of pics WILL BE DELETED without warning at admins' discretion.
Thats all... now go make those fancy pants DSLR users drool over your stuff!! :)
