About Pochades
Pochade is a French word for a (little) painting executed in one or a few sessions. Usely in colour, the atmospheric effects and general impressions of a subject are rendered. The pochade has a low degree of commitment and expectation. It is a sketch-for-its-own-sake that can march out into the world and have a life of its own (free after R. Genn)
