Platinum is seldom used in photography, as it is the the dearest of all precious metals. In photography, it is sometimes used for archival printmaking. Platinum prints display a greater range of tones than other printing methods. Additionally platinum's chemical stability makes for extremely long-lasting prints.
This is an award group meant to single out photos from the web that can stand the test of time. Only a platinum member photographer may invite an image to be posted here. Please look for Timeless photos to award. We will have threads offering the opportunity for members to invite your undiscovered photos.
