Platinum is seldom used in photography, as it is the the dearest of all precious metals. In photography, it is sometimes used for archival printmaking. Platinum prints display a greater range of tones than other printing methods. Additionally platinum's chemical stability makes for extremely long-lasting prints. This is an award group meant to single out photos from the web that can stand the test of time. Only a platinum photographer may invite an image to be posted here. Additionally, only the image with the medal may be posted. Please look for Timeless photos to award. We will have threads offering the opportunity for members to invite your undiscovered photos. Please, no nudity, as I would hope to find many artistic photos of families and children, in addition to nature, buildings, landscapes, or whatever else stikes the eyes of members as being unique. As of now there is a 3 per day posting limit. Thank You!
