I'm fascinated by the images of the Plague Doctor. Curious about what that is? Some background on my blog post and my first Plague Doctor Gallery. If you want to see just how fascinated I became,see the rest of my Galleries - I have about nine of them just dedicated to Plague Doctor images. Mainly because they only allow 18 photos per gallery and because I had NO idea how many of us like this image. After the 9th collection I thought "you know, there has to be a better way to gather all of these together..."

So at that point I thought I'd create a group, in hopes that others interested in this image would drop by and add their photos and artwork. In the end this could be a great resource for other artists, photographers, costumers, historians, etc. Or at least an interesting bunch of images to look through.

Not sure if your image is right for the group? We're interested in a wide range of content - masks, costumes, paintings, and other things (tattoos, tshirts, etc.) that have the plague doctor image as a part of the content in some way. You can always add more information in the caption of your image to make it clear how it's related to the plague doctor.

Every week or so I try several Flickr searches and send out invites for particular photos - but if you find your way here please feel free to add your own photos! Or add any information or links in the discussion section!
