Place
This group is for people interested in photographically surveying their city's sub/urban landscape. The approach is more documentary than lyrical, and while it wholly embraces artistic sensibilities, its foundation is built on documenting, cataloguing, and collecting. We will find the meaning of 'place' one building at a time and in the sheer volume of pictures perhaps see the structures that house the deepest mysteries of our sub/urban lives.
Here are a few simple guidelines to this cartographic realism that may help:
think commercial and residential architecture.
think collecting and cataloguing in quantity.
think suburbanscape.
Please tag your photos with the city where each shot was taken. This might be useful later if any of us would like to browse the pool by location. And please don't be shy about posting as many pictures as you want. I know many groups prefer to limit posting but suburbanscape photography tends to work best when viewed en masse.
