About Pecha Kucha Night - Cleveland

Japanese for “the sound of conversation,” this event features a succession of 14 designers, each explaining their work through a six-minute presentation (20 slides X 20 seconds each). The goal is to expose, experience, and attract new talent and ideas to the design community while fostering meaningful collaborations among presenters and audience members.

Cleveland experienced its first Pecha Kucha Night on Friday, July 25, 2008. With presentations from photographers, a graffiti artist, urban planners, a mural artist, a writer, fashion designers, architects, furniture designers, and a film maker, the first Pecha Kucha Night drew in nearly 350 people.
