NOTE: Due to the fact that we have only recently started this group, we will remain mostly invite-only for photos. However, if you have other Pittsburgh-related photos that fit the criteria listed in the group rules, then we urge you to add them to the pool. Ultimately, all photos added require permission from an admin. Thanks!

About Pittsburgh: Only the BestWelcome to Pittsburgh: Only the Best! ▪ Photo must be compositionally clean with no distracting elements, What do we want in our group pool? We want to see excellent photos that really characterize Pittsburgh. We like streets, buildings, bridges, nature, traffic, animals, and signs—among many other things! We like minimalistic elements and clean, artistic photos. We sometimes like photos of people, as long as they are artistic (such as portraiture or street scenes). We do not want to see the photos you snapped at your last house party on the South Side or the time you caught a blurry glimpse of Sidney Crosby at the Stanley Cup parade (though cool). These types of photos belong in other group pools—not this one. See the Group Rules for a more comprehensive list of what we want and don't want to see in the pool. In essence, we want this group to be a veritable online gallery or exhibition of the best photographs that Pittsburgh has to offer. We want to be able to look at the photos and imagine that each one of them could be displayed in an exhibit at one of our city's museums or art galleries. We want excellence; we want only the best! About expectations from members: This is a pressure-free group; you are not required to comment or give awards to images in the group pool. If you do view a photo in the pool and you happen to comment on it, you may want to consider including the following html code as a courtesy to the photographer so he or she knows where you first discovered the photo. This code is simple and contains no flashy graphics. We are all about keeping things professional and artistic here at POtB.
