About Piglet's World Tour 2010 (aka 'Piglet Project')

It is time that my wonderful Piglet left the nest (if only for a while).

I woke up one morning and Piglet told me he'd like to go travelling. So I immediately started on his itinerary! He will be 'flying' (via package) to various flickr friends scattered across the world.


If you are not a host please feel free to join this group to watch piglet's journey, start discussions and ask as many questions as you'd like :)

Host List (where Piglet will go and who will be hosting him)

The official end to Piglet's journey, before coming home to me, will be at my mother's in Tasmania, Australia (I am on the mainland).

There are a few other people I would like to get to be little Piglet's host families and I will add them to this list as we go.

How will it work?

The Basics

I send Piglet to the first Host (The G), he has Piglet for a week/two weeks then sends Piglet to the next host and so on and so forth.
The only thing that you gotta do it is take one photo of Piglet (or however many you want) where you live, and post it in this group!
That way we will be able to see his journey :D

He also has a travel journal if you'd like to write something in it and a pouch which is for your piglet coins and tiny souvenirs [no guitars or surfboards!!].


The more in detail version of 'The Basics'

If you are the next host on the list (above ^), The person before you will contact you via flickrmail once their time with Piglet is up (1 - 2 weeks) and request your details so they can send piglet to you*

You will have Piglet for a week/two weeks depending on your preference, all the while documenting his journey (by taking photos of him where you live (the sights, wherever you'd like) and posting them to this group. You can also put entries/clippings in the little travel journal that will be with him and maybe a souvenir or two [as above, plse keep these small :0] in his travelling pouch if you have the time :D)

Then, when piglet's time is up (like i mentioned, you get to decide if you'd like him to stay for a week or two weeks) you will contact the person after you on the host list (via flickr mail) and get their contact details to send piglet to them

And so on. basically this will repeat over and over until Piglet has gone to everyone on the list. It's like a chain letter, but with Piglet. A piglet[ter].

This is how it will work each time. :)

I think Piglet would like to go as many places as possible, but I want to run a tight ship so he doesn't get lost in transit somewhere around the world :) So only those I know will be part of the Piglet Project - yes yes, I'm taking it so seriously, but I love him very much! :)

Try to keep him safe :)
With this in mind, if you can stretch to registered mail, 'signed for' or some kind of 'guaranteed' delivery method, that would be cool :))

*You need not give Addresses/PO Box details to anyone other than the person sending Piglet to you.
Nor do you need ask anyone's Address/Contact details unless they are next on the Host list and it is time for you to send Piglet to them.

(the only rule to this group is that no one is allowed to breach another's privacy by giving out another's details. The only people I have invited to be hosts are those I trust so I feel you all need not worry :)

If you do not trust the person before you on the list who you have to tell your details to or have some other issue with this arrangement, please contact me (MKB) and I will sort something out :)
