About Picture Story in 4-12 Photographs
This group is for picture stories. A picture story is usually at the least 4 photos You can submit as many as you need to tell the story, but no more than 12 photos would be nice. For references to picture stories check out W. Eugene Smith, the man who in the 1950's defined the picture story and the photo essay with stories such as "Country Doctor" "Spanish Village" "Nurse Midwife" "Man of Mercy(Albert Schwietzer)" I strongly reccomend you look at his work and perhaps read a book or two about him. The bottom line is to tell a story about something or someone in 4-12 photographs. Make sure your captions also help tell the story. This is really about photojournalism and I recommend those who have never done it to try it. Start small and work your way up. The stories get better and you get better yourself of course. Please be a critic in this group, but not too harsh. No profanity and porn of course.
