This is a group about the Botanical Gardens of the "Worshipful Society of Apothecaries", London which founded these gardens in 1673, in Chelsea, by the river Thames.
in 1722, Sir Hans Sloane of the Manor of Chelsea, granted the Society a lease in perpetuity, at a ground rent of £5 per annum.
The Physic Garden has around 5,000 species of plants intended to teach the students how to identify platns.
The group is intended not just to capture individual planst but also to show the athmosphere of this secret garden of some 4 acres of land by the river Thames, in the heart of Chelsea.
